‘HOW’ the content is produced is not the subject of investigation within this project scope. Happy to offer / explain examples though. 

This can also be done WITHOUT securing broadcast rights while using a ‘radio style’, audio only commentary:

  1. The best, most successful example of this model is ‘The Footy Show’, an Australian sports and variety entertainment television program. A consistent ratings hit, it aired on the Australia’s Nine Network from 24 March 1994 to 25 September 2019 (running time: 120 minutes, including commercials).

Live sports are already starting to pop up on subscription services as broadcasters begin to embrace streaming – it’s a good medium for commercial placement and can promote wider coverage of more niche sports that are often behind a paywall.

We’re looking forward to seeing more sporting events migrate to FAST, with pop-up channels offering event exclusivity and packages that, for example, give NFL fans access to NFL games across the streaming ecosystem. And who knows, 2025 could see more major-league level sports embrace streaming.
