Synopsis

The company's future is pinned to its biggest ever project: 'Eastern Metropol Train Station'.

The worst storm in 100 years wreaks havoc on the city and its new landmark causing $60 000 in damages and clean-up costs per week.

Friendships fracture. Fingers point. Accusations fly. Alliances shift. Spin and counter-spin. It's every man and woman for themselves.

‘A KIND OF DESTINY’ | Production Notes

Update

18 June 2010 | ‘A KIND OF DESTINY’ will be performed as a staged reading for the first time in July 2010 in Melbourne, Australia.  Mick Lo Monaco, currently filming 'The Cup', will direct.

Synopsis

Based on a news story about a gospel being found that's 'apparently' written by Judas. 

Judas argues with Christ in the Garden showing him up to be a manipulative user of people for his own ends.

If Judas doesn't choose his destiny, what destiny will be his to become?

Synopsis

Beg. Borrow. Steal. Lie.

Up until yesterday, Reuben ran the Melbourne / Sydney / Melbourne leg for an SP Bookie.  Not a bad gig.  A better life than the magsman.  More settled than a cardsharper.  And let's face it, he'll never be a razor-man. Mad as cut snakes anyway

'The Tic Tac Men' are looking for him. A worse fate no man could wish for.

'eed the price, 'ere you die.

She turns up dead in a paddock and now it's only a matter of time.  They'll want his most treasured possesions too. Well. We'll see.

Beg. Borrow. Steal. Lie.

Just find a way out of this mess.  Whatever the cost.


‘THE PICKUP’ | Production Notes

‘The Pickup’ had its worldwide premiere on 30th November, 2005 at The Arts Centre, Melbourne Australia.

It was an official selection at Australia's premier theatre festival of its type - Short and Sweet - held in Melbourne from 23rd November to 10th December 2005.

Presented in five performances during week 2 of the festival from 30th November to 3rd December 2005, the script was selected as one of the top 30 finalists from 1100 entries worldwide.

It also earned selection for the Sydney season of Short and Sweet. Presented in five performances during week 3 of the festival from February 14 to February 19 2006, the script was again a top 30 finalist from 1200 entries worldwide.

‘The Pickup’ is a riveting piece that deals with friendship, loneliness and change through the eyes of a backpacker and his guitar.

 
 

Synopsis

Felix and Norman are hitchhiking in Ireland. They need to get from Dublin to Belfast – fast! A car approaches. 359 days, 16 countries, 2 mates, 1 Irish stranger - is this the last of their great adventures? 

This journey will change their friendship forever.
